The West Desert Amateur Radio Club is affiliated with the ARRL as an Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) club. Full members of the club who have an ARES Task Book and are actively pursuing the training, education, and experience as outlined in the ARES Task Book are considered registered ARES members. To obtain an ARES Task Book, contact Roland Smith K7OUL, the Tooele County ARES Emergency Coordinator. His email is rolandksmith@gmail.com.
West Desert Amateur Radio Club members are also encouraged to register with the State of Utah Emergency Services and obtain a RACES registration number.
