Announcements include:
December WDARC will be held at La Frontera on Dec 6 at 7:00 pm. Voting for elected leaders will be held that day. Must be a member of the club to vote.
Discussed possible topics for future meetings.
Questions were raised of possibly losing access to the EOC radio equipment to another club.
Trailer has no HF antennae. Robert Andrews may have one available. He also knows an Individual that may have a tower to donate.

What frequencies to use during an emergency? Papers were handed out with alternative emergency frequencies that should be used locally.
How to communication if one of the repeaters go down? Black Crook/Delle/South Mountain/Wendover? It was encouraged to get node antennas so that we can have access that way.
If during a disaster the National Government can take over the radio frequencies.

Elections are to be held in December. If you have any nominations or would like to run for an office let President Lanea Price know of your nominations.
Extra Classes are starting on September 8. They will be held on September 8-9, 15-16, 22-23, 29-30. The cost is $25.00. For more information contact Roger Redmond.
Clint Thompson of the Tooele CLC asked if proctoring was available for proctoring a technician class that is being taught in his class. There will be more checking to see if available proctors will be available.
EOC Open House will be held September 11 at the Tooele EOC from 5-8 pm. Any available Hams are requested to join in the activity. Jim Osterud will have the trailer there.
Guest speakers were KD7BKO Chad Bowcut and KD7VEA Jake Estepp presented on the MeshNet. There were questions asked by the group. They shared the MeshNet website of www.UTMESH.com or K7MSH for MeshChat.

President Lanea Price informed the board that she is moving to Santaquin but it still planning to operate as president till December when elections occur. Discussion of possible candidates were brought up.
Next meeting for WDARC will be September 6, 2017 at the Tooele County Emergency Operation Center at 7:00 p.m. Presentation will be on Meshnet presented by Chad Bowcut.
Extra Class will begin September 8, 2017 and run on September 8- 9, 15-16, 22-23, and 29-30. Class fees will be $25.00.
Tooele County EOC Emergency Preparedness Open House at 6-8 pm. The WDARC will have a table set up for the event. Discussion about who and what would be presented at the event.
The October 4, 2017 meeting of WDARC will be at the Tooele County EOC at 7:00 pm. The subject will be Morse Code Oscillation Kits.
Andy Tanner has offered the donation of radio to help promote and increase participation in the WDARC Club. Way they will be used will be discussed in future meetings.
